Studio Policies

We ask that students and parents do not enter the classroom with street shoes on. This is to ensure the integrity of our floor and the safety of our dancers.

We ask that parents sit outside the classroom. If a student is nervous or need extra support, please speak to an instructor about leaving the classroom door open and sitting in the hall within the line of sight of the dancer. Our studio is limited in space and it may cause distraction for other dancers for parents to be physically inside the room during class time.

We ask that students come fully dressed with their hair done for class. Older dancers will be responsible for their own attire but parents are expected to ensure that younger dancers are following dress code guidelines. 

We ask that parents contact teachers via the Studio Pro portal or via the elaia email (info@elaia.academy). Please do not ask teachers for their personal cell-phone numbers or email addresses. This is for the safety of our staff and our students. 

The GCC playground is not part of Elaia Academy. We do not assume any risks associated with the playground. 

All dancers under 14 must have a parent or guardian at the studio at all times. For students 14-18 we ask that parents arrive at least five minutes before and after class. 

Effective August 24th, 2026, students must be out of the halls, classroom, waiting room, or any other part of the GCC building within fifteen minutes after class ends. Teachers are required to lock the doors for the evening and cannot leave students unattended (regardless of age). Please be considerate of our teachers time and have all your items gathered up as soon as class ends so our teachers can lock the doors.
